Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)

1 cup water

4 large eggs

3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2-3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon paprika

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium saucepan, combine the water, butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, oregano, and paprika. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to melt the butter.

Once boiling, remove the saucepan from heat and add the flour all at once. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until the mixture forms a smooth ball that pulls away from the sides of the pan.

Allow the dough to cool slightly for about 5 minutes. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the batter is glossy and smooth.

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, incorporating it thoroughly into the dough.

Using a pastry bag or a spoon, drop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and have puffed up nicely.

Remove from oven and let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack.

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving for a pop of color and flavor.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 20 puffs
