Ingredients

1 box German chocolate cake mix

1 cup water

1/2 cup vegetable oil

3 large eggs

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

1 cup chopped pecans

1 cup chocolate frosting

1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

Prepare the Cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan. In a large mixing bowl, combine the German chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well blended.

Bake the Cake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Poke the Cake: Once the cake has cooled, use the end of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the top of the cake, about 1 inch apart.

Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, coconut flakes, and chopped pecans. Stir until evenly mixed.

Fill the Holes: Pour the coconut and pecan mixture over the cake, making sure it seeps into the holes. Spread evenly with a spatula.

Frost the Cake: For the frosting, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold in the chocolate frosting to create a fluffy chocolate cream. Spread this mixture evenly over the top of the cake.

Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour before slicing to allow the flavors to meld together.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes | Servings: 12-15 slices

                  - Presentation Tips: Garnish with additional chopped pecans and a dusting of coconut flakes for a beautiful finish. Serve chilled or at room temperature. Enjoy!
