Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

¾ cup buttermilk

1 cup fresh mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

Incorporate Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Mix in Buttermilk: Pour the buttermilk into the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

Add Cheese: Gently fold in the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until evenly distributed.

Form the Bombs: Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the biscuit dough and encase a mozzarella cube in the center. Roll it into a ball and place it seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough and cheese.

Bake: Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the biscuit bombs are golden brown and puffed up.

Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
