Ingredients

6 large croissants, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 cup cooked ham, diced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

6 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.

In the greased baking dish, layer half of the croissant pieces evenly across the bottom.

Sprinkle half of the diced ham over the croissant layer, followed by half of the cheddar and Swiss cheese.

Pour half of the egg mixture over this layer, ensuring all pieces are moistened.

Repeat the layering process with the remaining croissants, ham, cheeses, and egg mixture, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C). Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.

Garnish with fresh chives before slicing and serving.
