Ham and Cheese Sticks

1 cup sliced deli ham

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon honey

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 egg (for egg wash)

Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard, honey, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning to create a sweet and tangy sauce. Set aside.

      Unroll the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface and separate it into individual triangles.

        Take a slice of ham and place a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese at the wider end of each triangle.

          Drizzle a bit of the mustard sauce over the cheese and ham, then carefully roll up the triangle from the wide end to the tip, sealing in the filling.

            Place the rolled sticks on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.

              In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush the egg wash over each ham and cheese stick for a golden finish.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

                  Remove from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
