Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup thinly sliced deli ham

1 cup shredded Swiss cheese

1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ cup breadcrumbs (optional for added crunch)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced ham, shredded Swiss cheese, chopped spinach, minced garlic, oregano, paprika, and black pepper. Mix until thoroughly combined.

Place the chicken breasts on a clean cutting board. Using a sharp knife, carefully make a pocket in each breast by slicing horizontally, leaving one side intact.

Stuff each chicken breast generously with the ham and cheese mixture, pressing gently to secure the filling. If desired, you can use toothpicks to hold the chicken closed.

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Once hot, sear the stuffed chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle them over the top of the chicken for an extra crunch.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

Once cooked, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

                  Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 4

                    - Presentation Tips: Slice the stuffed chicken breasts at an angle and arrange them on a platter. Drizzle with a little olive oil and garnish with fresh herbs, such as parsley or thyme, for a pop of color. Serve with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
