Ingredients

4 large buttery croissants, cut into quarters

1 cup diced ham

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

4 large eggs

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Salt to taste

Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until smooth.

Place the quartered croissants into the greased baking dish, spreading them evenly across the base.

Sprinkle the diced ham over the croissant pieces, followed by an even layer of shredded cheddar cheese.

Slowly pour the egg mixture over the croissant, ham, and cheese layers, ensuring all the bread gets soaked in the mixture.

Gently press down on the croissants with a spatula to help them absorb the egg mixture fully.

Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to soak while your oven preheats.

Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the egg is fully set.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before cutting into squares.

Garnish with fresh chopped chives before serving.

                      Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 6-8

                        - Presentation Tips: Serve the bake warm with a side of mixed greens for color and freshness. A drizzle of balsamic reduction on the plate can elevate the dish visually.
