Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast

1 cup milk, warmed (110°F/45°C)

¼ cup sugar

½ teaspoon salt

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped

5 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and melted butter. Create a well in the center of the flour mixture and pour in the yeast mixture. Stir until a dough forms.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

While the dough is rising, prepare the filling: In a separate bowl, mix together the chopped parsley, rosemary, minced garlic, grated Parmesan, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).

After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle (about 12x18 inches).

Spread the filling mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough. Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seams to seal.

Slice the log into 12 equal pieces and place them cut side up in a greased baking dish.

Cover the rolls lightly with plastic wrap and let them rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Brush the top of the rolls with the beaten egg.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Presentation Tips: Serve warm, garnished with a sprinkle of extra parsley on top. For an elegant touch, arrange the rolls on a wooden board and drizzle with a bit of olive oil for a rustic appearance.
