Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried rosemary

1 teaspoon garlic powder

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, thyme, rosemary, and garlic powder. Rub this herb mixture all over the pork chops, ensuring an even coating.

Sear the Pork Chops: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the pork chops to the skillet. Sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they develop a golden-brown crust.

Add Garlic Butter: Reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet with the pork chops. As the butter melts, use a spoon to baste the pork chops with the garlic butter, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the pork chops are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C).

Rest the Chops: Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the pork chops to a plate. Allow them to rest for 5 minutes to keep them juicy.

Garnish and Serve: Drizzle the leftover garlic butter from the skillet over the pork chops and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
