Homemade Chicken Pizza Rolls

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup pizza sauce

1/2 cup chopped bell peppers (any color)

1/4 cup sliced black olives

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 package (1 lb) refrigerated pizza dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Olive oil for brushing

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, chopped bell peppers, sliced olives, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and mix until well combined.

      Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangular shape about 1/4-inch thick.

        Cut the dough into rectangles, roughly 4x6 inches in size.

          Spoon a generous amount of the chicken mixture onto one half of each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.

            Fold the other half of the dough over the filling to create a pocket and press the edges together to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.

              Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg to achieve golden color during baking.

                Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed up.

                  Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

                    Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping if desired.
