Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 cups milk chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional)

A pinch of sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and softened butter. Use a hand mixer on medium speed to blend until smooth and creamy.

Gradually add in the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Continue mixing until fully combined and a thick dough forms.

Shape the peanut butter mixture into egg-like shapes (about 2 inches long) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Make sure they are evenly sized for consistent melting.

Freeze the peanut butter eggs for about 30 minutes to firm them up.

While the eggs are freezing, prepare the chocolate coating. In a heatproof bowl, combine the milk chocolate chips and coconut oil (if using). Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted and smooth.

Remove the peanut butter eggs from the freezer. Dip each egg into the melted chocolate, making sure it is fully coated. Use a fork to lift it out and tap off any excess chocolate.

Return the coated eggs to the parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat the process until all eggs are covered.

For a finishing touch, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt on top of each chocolate-covered egg before the chocolate sets.

Allow the chocolate to harden completely at room temperature or refrigerate briefly to speed up the process.

Once set, enjoy your homemade Reese’s eggs or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
