Ingredients

4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless

1/4 cup honey

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium if preferred)

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and grated ginger until well combined.

Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken thighs and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Pour the honey garlic mixture over the seared chicken in the skillet, ensuring the chicken is well coated.

Reduce the heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).

Remove the lid and increase the heat to medium-high for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and glaze the chicken. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

Slice the chicken and drizzle remaining sauce from the pan over the top.

Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
