Ingredients

1 lb chicken thighs, boneless and skinless

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp ginger, freshly grated

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp sesame oil

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

Marinate the Chicken: In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, olive oil, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper. Add the chicken to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator for more depth of flavor.

Cook the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Take the marinated chicken out of the refrigerator. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat a drizzle of oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken thighs, searing for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.

Bake: Once the chicken is nicely browned, pour the remaining marinade over the chicken. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

Glaze: Remove the skillet from the oven and spoon some of the sauce over the chicken. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the glaze to thicken slightly.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm over a bed of rice or alongside steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
