In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and grated ginger until well combined. Set aside.
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Once hot, add the salmon fillets, skin-side down, and sear for about 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden.
Carefully flip the salmon fillets and pour the honey-garlic sauce over the top.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven (400°F or 200°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
Remove the skillet from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
Drizzle any remaining sauce over the salmon fillets before serving.
Garnish with green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
