Ingredients

1.5 lbs pork tenderloin

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh herbs (such as thyme or parsley), for garnish

Instructions

Prepare Marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, ground ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

Marinate Pork: Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork, making sure it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Sear Pork: Remove the pork from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat and add a little olive oil. Once hot, sear the pork tenderloin on all sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Bake: Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). If using a meat thermometer, insert it into the thickest part of the tenderloin.

Rest and Glaze: Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile, pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.

Slice and Serve: Slice the pork tenderloin into medallions. Drizzle the reduced marinade over the top and garnish with fresh herbs. Serve hot with your choice of sides such as roasted vegetables or rice.
