Ingredients

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

4 slices bacon, chopped

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Cook the Bacon: In a large oven-safe skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove the bacon and set it aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.

Sauté Brussels Sprouts: In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the halved Brussels sprouts. Sauté for about 5 minutes until they are browned and start to get tender.

Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Pour this mixture over the Brussels sprouts in the skillet, stirring to coat evenly.

Bake: Add the crispy bacon back to the skillet, and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are caramelized and tender, stirring halfway through.

Serve: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped parsley for garnish, and serve warm.
