1 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup mini marshmallows

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions
 

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

      Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy and fluffy.

        Add Egg and Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.

          Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture into the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Do not over-mix.

            Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips, making sure they are evenly dispersed throughout the dough.

              Shape and Bake: Using a tablespoon, scoop out the cookie dough and place it onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie. Press a few mini marshmallows into the top of each cookie dough scoop.

                Bake Cookies: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. They will continue to bake on the baking sheet after being removed from the oven.

                  Cooling Time: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

                    Finish with Powdered Sugar: Once cooled, dust the cookies lightly with powdered sugar for that extra touch.
