Ingredients

2 cups fresh blueberries

4 cups water

2 black tea bags (or your favorite tea)

1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust to taste)

Lemon slices and mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

Prepare the Blueberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of blueberries and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat and then reduce to a simmer. Stir occasionally for about 10 minutes until the blueberries break down and the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat and strain through a mesh sieve to separate the syrup from the solids. Set aside to cool.

Brew the Tea: In another saucepan, bring the remaining 3 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and let the tea cool.

Combine the Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix in the cooled blueberry syrup, brewed tea, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and honey or agave syrup. Stir well until everything is fully combined. Adjust sweetness to taste.

Chill the Drink: Refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to ensure it's nice and cold before serving.

Serve: To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the blueberry tea lemonade over the ice. Garnish each glass with lemon slices and a sprig of fresh mint.
