Ingredients

2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon maple syrup

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Prep the Steaks: Take the ribeye steaks out of the fridge and let them rest at room temperature for 30 minutes before cooking. This ensures even cooking. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Steaks: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the steaks. Sear for 4-5 minutes on one side until nicely browned. Flip the steaks and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer if desired. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a cutting board.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it!

Create the Sauce Base: Pour in the heavy cream, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, and smoked paprika. Stir well to combine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Finish the Sauce: Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. If you want a little heat, feel free to add a pinch of cayenne or chili flakes for an extra kick.

Plate the Dish: Slice the rested steaks against the grain and place them on serving plates. Generously drizzle the haunted bourbon garlic cream sauce over each steak.

Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for a vibrant finish. Serve immediately for the best flavor experience.
