Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20)

1/4 cup Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

4 slices of sharp cheddar cheese

4 hamburger buns

Lettuce leaves, for garnish

Sliced tomatoes, for garnish

Pickles, for garnish

Optional: crispy bacon strips

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Jack Daniel's BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated but do not overwork the meat.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a slight dent in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place the burger patties on the grill.

Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side and then flip. Top each burger with a slice of cheddar cheese immediately after flipping. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes or until the patty reaches your desired doneness and the cheese is melted.

Meanwhile, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, pickles, and crispy bacon if desired. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve immediately while hot, with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
