Ingredients

1 can of King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 rolls)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup fresh pineapple, finely diced

1/4 cup coconut flakes

1 egg (for egg wash)

1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)

Additional powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, sour cream, and finely diced pineapple. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Carefully slice the King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls in half horizontally to create top and bottom pieces.

Spread a generous amount of the cheesecake filling on the bottom half of each roll.

Sprinkle coconut flakes over the cheesecake mixture on each bottom half.

Place the top half of the rolls back on, gently pressing down.

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to create an egg wash. Brush the mixture over the top of each Danish to give them a beautiful golden color.

Arrange the filled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each roll.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the edges are slightly crispy.

Once baked, allow to cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.

Serve warm or at room temperature and enjoy your delightful Hawaiian-inspired cheesecake Danish!
