Ingredients

1 package of King's Hawaiian Sweet Bread Rolls (12 rolls)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup fresh pineapple, diced

1/4 cup toasted coconut flakes (optional)

Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar. Beat with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy.

Add the egg, vanilla extract, sour cream, and salt to the cream cheese mixture. Beat until fully incorporated.

Take each King's Hawaiian roll, and using a knife, slice them horizontally but not all the way through, creating a pocket.

Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the cheesecake filling into each roll pocket.

Top the cheesecake filling with a few pieces of diced pineapple to add a fruity flavor.

Arrange the filled rolls on your prepared baking sheet.

If using, sprinkle the toasted coconut flakes over the tops of the filled rolls.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the filling is set.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
