Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (skin-on, about 6 oz each)

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

Juice and zest of 1 large lemon

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon slices, for garnish

Instructions

Start by patting the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant but not browned.

Add the lemon juice, zest, and dried oregano to the skillet, stirring to combine the flavors.

Carefully place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down. Cook for 5-6 minutes without moving them, allowing the skin to get crispy.

Flip the salmon fillets gently using a spatula and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, basting with the lemon garlic butter sauce.

Sprinkle chopped parsley over the fillets and remove from heat.

To serve, place the salmon on plates, drizzling leftover lemon garlic butter from the skillet over each fillet. Garnish with lemon slices.
