Instructions
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, sea salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
Add the trimmed asparagus to the bowl and toss until evenly coated in the lemon garlic mixture.
Spread the asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Roast in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender and slightly crispy on the edges.
If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the asparagus for the last 2 minutes of roasting to allow it to melt slightly.
Remove from the oven and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Optional Parmesan cheese can be added for extra flavor.
