Ingredients

1 loaf of fresh Italian or French bread

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoni

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a kick)

Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Use a serrated knife to carefully slice the loaf of bread, making deep cuts but not cutting all the way through, approximately 1-inch apart.

In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried herbs, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.

Carefully spread the garlic butter mixture in between the slices of the bread.

Stuff each cut with shredded mozzarella cheese and slices of pepperoni, making sure to distribute them evenly.

Once the bread is filled, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top for added flavor.

Wrap the entire loaf in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, unwrap the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown.

Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.

                    Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 6-8

Presentation Tips: Serve the pull-apart bread on a rustic wooden board, allowing guests to easily tear off pieces. You can also place a small dish of marinara sauce alongside for dipping. Enjoy!
