Ingredients

1 pound of mini cocktail sausages or hot dogs

1 package (8 oz) of crescent roll dough

1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for garnish)

Mustard or your favorite dipping sauce (for serving)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean, flat surface and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.

Add Flavor: Sprinkle garlic powder and dried oregano evenly over the dough triangles for added flavor.

Layer Cheese: Place a small amount of shredded cheese at the wider end of each triangle.

Wrap Sausages: Place a mini cocktail sausage on top of the cheese, then roll the triangle from the wide end to the narrow tip, encasing the sausage and cheese.

Brush with Egg Wash: Place the wrapped sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush each one with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

Garnish: If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top for added texture and flavor.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.

Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauces like mustard.
