Ingredients

8 mini hot dogs or cocktail sausages

1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough

1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.

Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on each triangle of dough.

Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning evenly over the mustard.

Place a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese at the wide end of each triangle.

Position a mini hot dog or cocktail sausage on top of the cheese.

Roll the crescent dough over the cheese and sausage, starting from the wide end and rolling towards the point to encase the filling.

Place the rolled pigs in a blanket on the prepared baking sheet.

Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
