Ingredients

1 ripe pineapple, finely diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1/2 red onion, finely chopped

1 jalapeño pepper, deseeded and minced (adjust for spice preference)

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Juice of 2 limes

1 tablespoon honey (optional, to balance the acidity)

Salt to taste

Instructions

Start by cutting the fresh pineapple into small, uniform pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Dice the red bell pepper and add it to the bowl with the pineapple.

Finely chop the red onion and minced jalapeño, then add both to the mixture.

Chop the fresh cilantro and add it in for a burst of flavor.

Squeeze the juice of two limes over the salsa ingredients. If you desire a hint of sweetness, drizzle in a tablespoon of honey.

Toss everything together gently until well combined. Be careful not to mash the pineapple.

Season with salt to taste, and adjust lime juice or honey based on personal preference.

Let the salsa sit for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together before serving.

                  Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 4-6

                    - Presentation Tips: Serve the salsa in a beautiful, shallow dish, garnished with additional cilantro leaves and lime wedges for a burst of color. It pairs excellently with tortilla chips, grilled meats, or as a topping for fish tacos!
