Ingredients

2 lbs russet potatoes, thinly sliced

2 cups cooked ham, diced

1 cup sour cream

1 cup ranch dressing

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

1 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, ranch dressing, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.

Layer half of the sliced potatoes evenly in the bottom of the baking dish.

Sprinkle half of the diced ham over the potatoes.

Pour half of the ranch sauce mixture over the potatoes and ham, spreading evenly.

Sprinkle ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese over this layer.

Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, ham, ranch sauce, and an additional ½ cup of cheddar cheese.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the potatoes are fork-tender.

Once out of the oven, let the dish cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped chives before serving.

                        Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes | Servings: 6-8

                          - Presentation Tips: Serve the scalloped potatoes directly from the baking dish for a rustic touch, or spoon into individual ramekins for a more elegant presentation. Top with additional chives for color.
