Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp turns pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add the reserved pasta water until the desired consistency is achieved.

Add the cooked fettuccine and the shrimp back to the skillet. Toss gently to coat the pasta and shrimp in the creamy Alfredo sauce. If desired, sprinkle with red pepper flakes for an extra kick.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
