Ingredients

8 oz fettuccine pasta

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to low. Pour in the heavy cream and allow it to simmer for about 2 minutes. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, lemon zest, and season with salt and pepper. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

Combine Pasta and Shrimp: Add the cooked fettuccine and shrimp back into the skillet, tossing everything until well coated in the Alfredo sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.

Serve: Plate the Shrimp Alfredo, garnishing with chopped parsley for a touch of color.
