To make tasty shrimp tacos, you need a few key ingredients. First, fresh shrimp is vital. I always use one pound of peeled and deveined shrimp for a great base. Olive oil adds flavor and helps cook the shrimp evenly. Seasoning is next; I use smoked paprika, garlic powder, and cumin. Salt and pepper bring all the flavors together.

Ingredients

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon cumin

Salt and pepper to taste

8 small corn tortillas

1 cup shredded cabbage (green or purple)

1 ripe avocado, sliced

1 mango, diced

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

2 limes, cut into wedges

1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt (optional for drizzling)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.

Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until opaque and pink. Remove from heat and set aside.

While the shrimp is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds on each side. Wrap them in a clean kitchen towel to keep warm.

Assemble the tacos: Place a handful of shredded cabbage on each tortilla, followed by a few shrimp. Top with diced mango, sliced avocado, and red onion.

Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the tacos and drizzle sour cream or Greek yogurt if desired.

Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the tacos.

              Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 4

                - Presentation Tips: Serve the tacos on a colorful platter, garnished with extra lime wedges and scattered cilantro for a vibrant look. You can even add some thinly sliced jalapeños for an extra kick.
