12 mozzarella sticks

6 slices of thick-cut bacon (cut in half)

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, beaten

1 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred for crunch)

2 tablespoons Nashville hot chicken seasoning (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

    Wrap each mozzarella stick with a half slice of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if needed. Lay them on the lined baking sheet.

      In a shallow dish, combine the flour, Nashville hot chicken seasoning, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix thoroughly.

        Place the beaten eggs in another bowl and the breadcrumbs in a third bowl.

          Dredge each bacon-wrapped mozzarella stick in the flour mixture, shaking off the excess.

            Dip into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off.

              Coat with breadcrumbs, pressing slightly to adhere. Repeat until all sticks are coated.

                Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add enough cooking oil to cover the bottom. Once hot, add the mozzarella sticks in batches, frying until the bacon is crispy and the cheese begins to ooze out (about 2-3 minutes per side).

                  Remove the sticks from the skillet and place them back on the baking sheet.

                    Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes to ensure the cheese is fully melted and the bacon is cooked through.

                      Carefully remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Remove toothpicks if used.
