Ingredients

1 lb fresh crab meat (or canned)

1 avocado, diced

1 cup cucumber, diced

1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced

1/4 cup green onions, finely sliced

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

1 jalapeño, finely chopped (adjust to taste)

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (or to taste)

1 tablespoon lime juice

Salt and black pepper to taste

Optional: Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients: If using fresh crab, ensure it is cleaned and picked through for shells. Dice the avocado, cucumber, and red bell pepper. Finely chop the green onions, cilantro, and jalapeño.

Mix the Base: In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the crab meat, avocado, cucumber, red bell pepper, green onions, cilantro, and jalapeño.

Create the Dressing: In a smaller bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, lime juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

Combine & Toss: Pour the dressing over the crab mixture and gently toss to coat evenly. Be careful not to break the crab meat too much.

Taste & Adjust: Sample the salad and adjust the seasoning with more lime juice, sriracha, or salt as necessary.

Serve: Chill the salad in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. Serve it as is, or with tortilla chips for a delightful crunch!
