Ingredients

2 pounds pork shoulder, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces

1 cup BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

12 slider buns

Dill pickles, for topping

Coleslaw (optional, for topping)

Instructions

In a large bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using) until well combined.

Place the pork shoulder pieces into a slow cooker and pour the BBQ mixture over the pork, ensuring all pieces are well coated.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

Once cooked, shred the pork directly in the slow cooker using two forks, mixing it well with the sauce.

Toast the slider buns lightly in the oven or on a skillet for added texture.

To assemble, place a generous scoop of the shredded BBQ pork onto the bottom half of each slider bun.

Top with dill pickles and coleslaw if desired, then cover with the top half of the buns.

Serve the sliders warm, and enjoy the sticky goodness!
