Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

12 ounces pasta (penne or rotini)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (with juices)

2 cups beef broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh basil or parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Brown the Beef: In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat if needed.

Sauté Aromatics: Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the pot with the beef. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent and garlic is fragrant.

Add Tomatoes and Broth: Stir in the diced tomatoes (with their juices), beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.

Incorporate Cream: Reduce the heat to medium-low and stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the drained pasta to the pot, tossing to combine and coat the pasta with the creamy sauce.

Add Cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and thoroughly mixed in. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil or parsley, and serve immediately.
