Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) instant yeast

½ teaspoon salt

¾ cup warm milk (110°F/43°C)

1 large egg

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

½ cup cream cheese, softened

¼ cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

1 tablespoon lemon juice

½ cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

½ cup pecans, chopped

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened (for filling)

Instructions

Make the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. In another bowl, mix warm milk, egg, and melted butter. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and knead until a soft dough forms. Cover and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling: While the dough rises, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine chopped strawberries with lemon juice. Set aside to allow the flavors to meld.

Roll out the Dough: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Spread the Filling: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough. Then sprinkle the brown sugar, cinnamon, chopped pecans, and finally the chopped strawberries over the cream cheese layer.

Roll and Slice: Starting from one long side, carefully roll the dough into a log. Cut the log into 12 rolls using a sharp knife or dental floss for cleaner cuts.

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) while you arrange the rolls.

Prepare for Baking: Place the Cinnamon Rolls in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, leaving some space between each roll. Cover them with a kitchen towel and let them rise for about 30 minutes.

Bake the Rolls: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until they are golden brown and puffed up.

Make the Glaze (Optional): While the rolls are baking, mix powdered sugar with a small amount of milk or water to reach your desired glaze consistency.

Cool and Serve: Once baked, let them cool slightly before drizzling with the glaze. Serve warm and enjoy!
