Ingredients

For the Sweet Rolls:

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 packet (2¼ tsp) instant yeast

½ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup warm milk (110°F)

⅓ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

For the Cheesecake Filling:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

½ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg yolk

1 cup fresh strawberries, diced

For the Strawberry Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons fresh strawberry puree (made by blending strawberries)

1-2 tablespoons milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

Prepare the Dough:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. In another bowl, mix the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs until well combined. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.

      Knead the Dough:

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

          Make the Cheesecake Filling:

In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the diced strawberries. Set aside.

              Roll Out the Dough:

After the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Roll it out into a rectangle (about 16x12 inches).

                  Assemble the Rolls:

Spread the cheesecake filling evenly across the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the dough into a tight log. Pinch the seam to seal.

                      Cut the Rolls:

Cut the log into 12 equal pieces and place them in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover with a kitchen towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

                          Bake the Rolls:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Once the rolls have risen, bake them in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

                              Prepare the Strawberry Glaze:

While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, strawberry puree, and enough milk to achieve a drizzle-able consistency.

                                  Glaze the Rolls:

Once the rolls are done baking, let them cool for about 10 minutes before drizzling the strawberry glaze on top.

                                      Serve:

Serve warm and enjoy the delightful combination of strawberry, cheesecake, and soft, sweet dough!
