Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

8 oz wide rice noodles or egg noodles

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

2 tablespoons brown sugar

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon ginger, minced

1 small onion, thinly sliced

1 bell pepper (red or green), sliced

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional: crushed red pepper flakes for spice

Instructions

Cook the Noodles: Begin by boiling water in a large pot. Add the noodles and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Stir well and set aside.

Cook the Beef: In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.

Sauté Vegetables: Push the beef to one side of the skillet. In the same skillet, add the onion, bell pepper, garlic, and ginger. Sauté the vegetables for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.

Combine and Add Sauce: Add the drained noodles to the skillet with the beef and vegetables. Pour the sauce over the mixture and toss everything together until well combined, allowing the sauce to coat the noodles evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat through.

Final Touches: Drizzle with sesame oil and, if desired, sprinkle in crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat. Toss again and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve and Garnish: Serve the Mongolian ground beef noodles hot, garnished with chopped green onions. Enjoy your quick and delicious dinner!
