Ingredients

2 boneless ribeye steaks (about 1.5 inches thick)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Optional: 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (for some heat)

Instructions

Prepare the Steaks: Remove the steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

Sear the Steaks: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the steaks, searing them for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting the time depending on your desired doneness. Use a meat thermometer for precise results (130°F for medium-rare).

Rest the Steaks: Once cooked to preference, transfer the steaks to a cutting board, cover loosely with aluminum foil, and let them rest for about 5 minutes.

Make the Garlic Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, turn the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.

Combine the Sauce Ingredients: Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, allowing it to cook until the sauce thickens slightly (about 3-5 minutes). Stir in the chopped parsley and crushed red pepper flakes, if using. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Serve: Slice the rested steaks against the grain and drizzle the garlic cream sauce generously over the top.
