In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, olive oil, ginger, garlic, and lime juice until well combined to create the glaze.
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with a non-stick spray.
Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin-side down. Season the salmon with salt and pepper to taste.
Generously brush the brown sugar glaze over each salmon fillet, making sure to cover them well.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. If you prefer a caramelized finish, you can broil the salmon for the last 2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
Once done, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
Garnish with fresh cilantro or sliced green onions before serving.
