Ingredients

8 slices of Texas toast (thick-cut garlic bread)

1 cup pizza sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup sliced pepperoni or your choice of toppings (e.g., bell peppers, onions, mushrooms)

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Olive oil (for drizzling)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Texas Toast: Arrange the slices of Texas toast on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Spread Pizza Sauce: Evenly spread about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on each slice of Texas toast, leaving a small border around the edges.

Add Cheese: Sprinkle a generous layer (about 1/4 cup) of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce for each slice.

Add Toppings: Evenly distribute your sliced pepperoni or chosen toppings over the cheese layer. Feel free to mix and match your favorite toppings!

Season: Sprinkle oregano and red pepper flakes over each slice for added flavor.

Add Parmesan: Finish by sprinkling grated Parmesan cheese over the top of each slice for extra cheesiness.

Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Cool & Garnish: Once done, remove from the oven and let the pizzas cool for a couple of minutes. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and garnish with fresh basil leaves.

Slice & Serve: Cut the Texas toast pizzas into quarters or halves and serve warm. Enjoy your delicious twist on pizza!
