Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 package (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast

½ cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup warm milk (110°F)

2 large eggs

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

½ cup icing sugar (for glaze)

2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

In a small bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center and add the melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture.

Stir until a dough begins to form. Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick on a floured surface.

Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl, then sprinkle the mixture evenly over the rolled-out dough.

Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other to form a log. Pinch the seams to seal and place it seam-side down on a greased baking sheet.

Use a sharp knife to slice the log halfway through every 2 inches, creating a twist effect. You can either leave it as one loaf or separate it into two, depending on your desired size.

Cover again and let it rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Allow the bread to cool slightly on the baking sheet while you prepare the glaze by mixing the icing sugar and milk until smooth.

Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread before slicing and serving.

Prep Time: 20 min | Total Time: 2 hr | Servings: 12 slices

                            - Presentation Tips: Serve warm, optionally dusted with additional icing sugar or cinnamon, and enjoy with a side of coffee or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delectable dessert.
