Ingredients

1 pound of ground sausage (pork or turkey)

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 (10-ounce) can of diced tomatoes with green chilies (like Rotel)

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 package of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Drain excess grease.

Reduce heat to low and add softened cream cheese to the skillet, stirring until melted and combined with the sausage.

Mix in the diced tomatoes with green chilies, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, and add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. Remove from heat.

Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles on a clean surface.

Place a heaping tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Sprinkle a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the filling.

Starting from the wide end, roll up each crescent tightly towards the point to form a stuffed roll. Place seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Once all crescents are assembled, bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before garnishing with chopped fresh cilantro.
