Ingredients

200g smoked salmon, thinly sliced

1 ripe avocado

2 tablespoons Greek yogurt

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon dill, finely chopped

1 teaspoon capers, rinsed and chopped

4 whole grain or rye crackers

Fresh arugula or mixed greens for garnish

Freshly cracked black pepper, for seasoning

Instructions

Prepare the Avocado Cream: In a food processor, combine the ripe avocado, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and dill. Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste.

Assemble the Base: Arrange the whole grain or rye crackers on a serving platter.

Layer on the Salmon: Take a slice of smoked salmon and carefully place it on each cracker, allowing some of the edges to hang over for a decorative touch.

Top with Avocado Cream: Use a small spoon to dollop a generous amount of the avocado cream over the salmon on each cracker, letting some drizzle down the sides.

Finish with Capers: Sprinkle the chopped capers over the avocado cream for a burst of flavor and texture.

Garnish and Serve: Add a few leaves of arugula or mixed greens on the platter for a pop of color and freshness. Serve immediately to enjoy the combination of flavors.
